John comes from the UK, where he spent 14 years working in the West End. After training at the prestigious Laine Theatre Arts he joined the cast of Grease at the Dominion Theatre, performing as a Swing. He then decided to learn a new skill and took an opportunity to roller skate in Starlight Express. Following this, John was part of the original cast of Saturday Night Fever. When this London production closed, John was asked to be Resident Director and Resident Choreographer of the first UK tour of the same show. After this he joined the original cast of We Will Rock You as Resident Choreographer and as a Swing. This show took John around the world as the Associate Choreographer for the Australian, American and German productions.
John left We Will Rock You to open a new production of Andrew Lloyd-Webber’s Evita in London as Resident Choreographer and Swing. This led to being asked to be Resident Director of Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. John left this production to bring his family to Australia and chase new dreams.
John and his wife, Rebecca, are the owners of Redland Dance in Cleveland, Queensland where they ignite a passion for dance in the next generation of performers.
